A Second War American Army Distinguished Service Medal; Numbered & Cased Auction born in 1877United States; Bronze gilt with blue enamels, numbered "3986" on the edge, 37. 5 mm, original ribbon with brooch pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine. Accompanied by three 10 mm x 36 mm ribbon bars, two with a bronze oak leaf cluster, one of which has a pinback, in their hardshelled case of issue, unmarked on the lid, case also extremely fine.(C: 76)
