Military Division. Of French manufacture, Grand Cross set comprising the badge, in silver gilt, featuring a white enamelled crown with multiple smooth rays in each quadrant, crossed swords pierce the center medallion, the obverse medallion with red, white and blue enamels surrounded by a white ring inscribed 8 8 1804 (For Faith and Liberty 1804), the reverse features a double headed eagle on a red
